Sherrie Kueckelhan grew up in Springfield with the natural beauty of the Ozarks just outside her back door. This compelling connection with nature inspired her to become an artist. Entering the medical profession at first. Moving from the healing arts to a visual artist wasn’t as big a leap as one might suspect. She is connecting with people & striving to bring joy and comfort to the lives of others. This time with a camera. Sherrie and husband capture scenic landscapes surrounding Springfield and spend considerable time traveling to distant places immersing themselves in the lands visual bounty.
Lynn & Sherrie’s landscape & nature photography can be found in various galleries in Missouri such as: Columbia Art League- Columbia, MO, Capital Art League- Jefferson City. Sweeping landscapes and colorful nature photographs greet people at Hospitals & clinics including University Hospital- Columbia, MO, Central Missouri Medical Plaza- Jefferson City, MO.
Their work has been selected for various juried shows such as MOAK- 4 State Regional Art Exhibit (Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Kansas ) Their “T. A. Moulton Barn,” on large canvas recently won the “Peoples Choice 2011 Award ” in photography- Capital Arts Jefferson City, MO.
Kueckelhan Photography is featured in the newly published book: “Art & Artisans Of The Ozarks Vollume II.” Sherrie & Lynn Kueckelhan are among 150 artist & artisans whose work grace the pages of the book published by Whitehall Press.
